The AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) is dedicated to developing and conducting scientifically rigorous research and clinical trials to learn more about HIV and related infections, evaluate treatments, and improve the care of those inflicted with HIV. ACTG is one of the world's largest HIV clinical trials networks, and has had numerous successes in improving the quality of treatment and reducing the mortality associated with HIV.

The International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials (IMPAACT) is a global collaboration of investigators, institutions, community representatives and other partners organized for the purpose of evaluating interventions to treat and prevent HIV infection and its consequences in infants, children, adolescents and pregnant/postpartum women through the conduct of high quality clinical trials. IMPAACT aims to significantly reduce the incidence and mortality of HIV and related infections in these populations.
